Week - 4


  • Day 15 - 3rd December 2018

       We reached the school at 9:30 am and after signing the attendance register took part in the morning assembly conducted by 9th B division. In the assembly, prizes were distributed for the students who participated in the science fair. After the assembly, I took one class in 8th B on the topic water pollution and observed Sreelekshmi's class on excretion in organisms in 9th A division. Today we helped the authorities in distributing the uniform clothes to the students and as usual, served lunch. In the last period, we cleaned the physics lab. After that returned home at 4:00pm.




  • Day 16 - 4th December 2018
        I reached the school at 9:30 am along with Lekshmi Sabu and signed the attendance register. As per the timetable I didn't had any classes. We helped Cini teacher in organizing the lab equipment. And after that invigilated the midterm IT lab exam of class 8th students. Hena teacher came for observation and gave us general instructions to be followed. At 4:00 pm we left the school after signing the register.


  • Day 17 - 5th December 2018
      After reaching school, I signed the attendance register. Today I had 2 periods as per the timetable and got one extra hour in the 9th division, so I completed another lesson. In 8th A division, I took a class on water pollution and the students were restless and didn't respond the way I expected them to be. Chitra teacher came for observation and gave instructions to improve my teaching and other suggestions which can help the learning easy for the students. In 9th B division, I took classes on image formation using the lens and the ray diagrams of the image formation. Today Hemalatha Miss and Anupama Miss also came for the observation of Akhila and Sreelekshmi. We served food to the children at lunch time and returned home after signing the register.

  • Day 18 - 6th December 2018
      Today I reached the school at 9:30 am and attended the morning assembly conducted by the students of 9th C. The assembly was very well organized and after the assembly I conducted a test in 8th A division. And took a class in 8th B on the topic hard water and soft water. Sreelekshmi's conscientization programme was conducted in 8th B class on "Eye diseases and eye cancer in children".



     Chitra teacher and Hena teacher came for observation of Lekshmi Sabu's class and I also observed the class. As usual, we served the lunch to the students and at 4:00 pm returned home after signing the register.


  • Day 19 - 7th December 2018
        Everyone reached school early at 9:15 am and signed the register as it was friday. I didn't had any classes as per the timetable, but was engaged due to free hours and also invigilated the midterm IT lab exam of the remaining students. Served lunch to the students and at 4:00pm signed the register.

Week - 1 Day 1- 14th November 2018               As a part of 2 year B.Ed curriculum we, the student teachers of KUCTE, Kayamkulam were assigned to do our teaching practice Phase-2 at Govt. Boys High School, Kayamkulam. I reached the school at 9:30 am with other student teachers. The teachers and other staff gave us a warm welcome on our first day. After signing the register we went to the room which was allotted for us. Even though it was Children's Day, there were no activities conducted by the authorities which were a little disappointing for us. As per the timetable, I had two classes to take which were 8th and 9th division. I did take the lessons refraction in 9.B and water , boiling point and evaporation in 8. A . Week - 3 Day 9 - 26th November 2018        We reached the school at 9:30 am and after signing the attendance register took part in the morning assembly conducted by 9th A division. I took two classes today in 8th and 9th division. In 9th standard, I gave lesson notes and in 8th standard, revised the topic which had already taught and cleared their doubts.  As usual we served food to the children and in the afternoon session handled two free hours. At 4:00pm signed the register and returned home.  Day 10 - 27th November 2018      After reaching the school at 9:30 am, signed the register. I didn't had any periods as per the timetable and took care of some classes which were free. We left the school premises at 4:00pm. Second Phase Teaching Practice at Govt. Boys High School, Kayamkulam.

Week - 5 Day 20 - 10th December 2018        As usual, I reached the school at 9:30 am along with Lekshmi Sabu and after signing the register went to the room allotted for us. As it was Monday, an assembly was conducted by the leadership of 8th A students. Prayer, pledge, news, quote of the day and thought of the day was presented. An oath-taking as a part of the Human rights day celebration was organized. I did had two classes in the morning session and due to the exam, I revised the topics in the meantime. We served lunch to the children and the classes ended early. We returned home at 3:15pm after signing the attendance register. Day 21 - 11th December 2018    We didn't go to school due to the demise of our friend Stephy Suresh. The consent teachers from our college informed the school authorities about the matter.
