Week - 11


  • Day 53 - 28th January 2019
       Today I reached the school at 9:30am and after signing the register took part in the assembly conducted by 10.B students. The assembly was presented really well and the main highlight was the experience sharing by the students of their 3 years of schoolings. The school authorities congratulated the students who won the badminton tournament. And after took the students in 9th B to the IT laboratory and helped them to do the spreadsheet. In 8th B, I took an exam in the 4th period. After that, we served food to the children. I collected some of the data required for the project from the school.  And we cleaned the library of the school. 



At 4:00pm returned home after signing the register.

  • Day 54 - 29th January 2019
       After reaching the school premises I signed the register. I didn't have any classes as per the timetable. But I got one class in 9th.B and I took the innovative lesson plan on 'Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy Sources'. Today I collected the checklist from the students and gave out the rating scale to the staff. As a part of the project, I interviewed Smt. Sudha Teacher and she signed the declaration of mine related to the project. Sarath helped me out with the photos and the collection of data from the school authorities.



As usual, we served lunch to the children and returned home after signing the register.

  • Day 55 - 30th January 2019
       Today was our last day at school. I reached the school along with Lekshmi Sabu. After signing the register went to our allotted room. In 9th B, I revised the 2 chapters I taught and conducted an achievement test in 8th A. As it was our last day, we distributed sweets to the teachers and students. As usual, served lunch to the children and in the afternoon conducted the Conscientization programme in 8th A on "PLASTIC POLLUTION", there were 4 activities. An awareness class, Video presentation, Elocution Competition, and a workshop on paper bag making.

              In the last period, I took a class on 'Yoga Practices' in 8th A.

 After that, we went to the office and got our lesson plan sealed. At 4'O clock we returned home.

Week - 1 Day 1- 14th November 2018               As a part of 2 year B.Ed curriculum we, the student teachers of KUCTE, Kayamkulam were assigned to do our teaching practice Phase-2 at Govt. Boys High School, Kayamkulam. I reached the school at 9:30 am with other student teachers. The teachers and other staff gave us a warm welcome on our first day. After signing the register we went to the room which was allotted for us. Even though it was Children's Day, there were no activities conducted by the authorities which were a little disappointing for us. As per the timetable, I had two classes to take which were 8th and 9th division. I did take the lessons refraction in 9.B and water , boiling point and evaporation in 8. A . Week - 3 Day 9 - 26th November 2018        We reached the school at 9:30 am and after signing the attendance register took part in the morning assembly conducted by 9th A division. I took two classes today in 8th and 9th division. In 9th standard, I gave lesson notes and in 8th standard, revised the topic which had already taught and cleared their doubts.  As usual we served food to the children and in the afternoon session handled two free hours. At 4:00pm signed the register and returned home.  Day 10 - 27th November 2018      After reaching the school at 9:30 am, signed the register. I didn't had any periods as per the timetable and took care of some classes which were free. We left the school premises at 4:00pm. Second Phase Teaching Practice at Govt. Boys High School, Kayamkulam.

Week - 5 Day 20 - 10th December 2018        As usual, I reached the school at 9:30 am along with Lekshmi Sabu and after signing the register went to the room allotted for us. As it was Monday, an assembly was conducted by the leadership of 8th A students. Prayer, pledge, news, quote of the day and thought of the day was presented. An oath-taking as a part of the Human rights day celebration was organized. I did had two classes in the morning session and due to the exam, I revised the topics in the meantime. We served lunch to the children and the classes ended early. We returned home at 3:15pm after signing the attendance register. Day 21 - 11th December 2018    We didn't go to school due to the demise of our friend Stephy Suresh. The consent teachers from our college informed the school authorities about the matter.
